Paul has over 25 years of property and financial services experience. He established Leaf Capital in 2004, together with Jacqui Hathorn.
Paul completed his articles and qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Deloitte and Touche in 1986. He subsequently held various roles in NBS Bank and BoE (subsequently Nedbank Ltd) which included financial and strategy director, head of treasury, director of property and asset finance, and head of wealth management.
Paul has also served on the boards of a number of listed companies. During his years in the banking sector his roles included running the bank’s private equity division, co-ordinating mergers and acquisitions of both the bank and third party deals, establishment of BEE companies and funding of a wide range of projects.
Head of Asset Management
Shaun is Head of Property – International at Leaf Capital
Shaun has significant experience in the property sector and has established vast networks and relationships in SA and the UK. He was previously Head of Silver Leaf Property Fund, an income-focused property fund which he grew to gross property assets of R650m. Previously with Old Mutual Property Investments for six years, Shaun was responsible for investment sales and acquisitions of the various funds across the regions and portfolios. Warren qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in Accountancy from the University of South Africa. Warren also completed a Master of Commerce degree in Taxation from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007. He has 20 years of working experience of which most has been in the Financial Services Industry with significant experience in Investment Banking as well as Fund Management and Administration. His roles have included Chief Operating Officer of RMB’s Investment Banking Division, Group Financial Director at Oryx Investment Management and Equinox and other senior positions.
Head of Finance and Operations
5CA (SA), CFA, BBusSc (Finance Hons)
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business Science degree with Honours in Finance from the University of Cape Town and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003. He is a CFA Charterholder which he obtained in 2008. He has 15 years of working experience in the Financial Services Industry with significant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Fund Management obtained in New York, London, Johannesburg and Cape Town. His roles have included Chief Financial Officer of Ora Fund Managers and other senior positions.
3MRICS, MA European Real Estate, BSc Sociology
Jai is an MRICS surveyor with significant experience in the UK and European property market. Jai previously worked with the Recoveries team of ES Group and managing cases as a named Registered Property Receiver (FNARA). Responsibilities included advising on core and non-core debt cases, and devising and implementing strategies through to completion. Jai also has expertise in Asset Management, Valuation, Lease Advisory and LPA Receivership.
Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Property Studies from the University of Cape Town and is a professional member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Rob has been involved in the property fund management division at Leaf Capital for the past 4 years before joining Atlantic Leaf.
Sana joined Atlantic Leaf as Financial Manager in November 2015.
Sana graduated from the University of Manchester, UK with a BA (Hons) in Economics and is an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
She began her career in Audit at PwC and later joined the Finance Department at the Corporate Office of Rogers & Co Ltd, a listed entity in Mauritius.
Through her previous roles, Sana gained valuable experience in different sectors including asset management, telecommunications and property amongst others.
Risk and Compliance Manager
Tim completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration at Victoria University of Wellington, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
He has 4.5 years’ experience in domestic, indirect and international tax from PwC New Zealand, and also completed a one year fund accounting contract with a Vancouver investment firm before joining Atlantic Leaf.
Tim is a member of the finance team and supports our tax and risk function.
